Yoan Launches His First Album! In Stores March 23

Finally, thousands of La Voix fans will get what they have waited for since last spring: Yoan, the winner of La Voix’s season 2, unveils his first album on March 23! Producer Rick Haworth and artistic director Anne Vivien combine to provide Yoan with an experienced team that helped the artist, who writes 7 songs on the album, create exactly what he wanted. Two guest stars also sing with Yoan on two memorable duets: Isabelle Boulay, his coach on La Voix, and Brett Kissel, Breakthrough artist of the year at the 2014 Junos.

Yoan’s popularity can be felt on social networks and even in stores. As soon as Baby What You Want Me to Do, his first English single, was sent to radio stations, Yoan shared the song with his fans and invited them to have a listen on SoundCloud. In less than 5 days, almost 80,000 plays were recorded. Adding to this the many pre-orders in stores, we can definitely talk about Yoan’s album as amongst the most awaited in 2015!

This album, with 75% of the songs in English and 25% in French, was essentially written by Yoan himself, even though we can find a couple of covers. Yoan does not only have an outstanding and particular voice, he also makes his mark as a new singer-songwriter, inspired by « new country », as he likes to describe his musical style.

Yoan can count on two famous and talented guests: his coach on La Voix, Isabelle Boulay, and the rising star of country who won the Juno for Breakthrough artist of the year in 2014, Brett Kissel. They sing on two magical duets, « J’entends siffler le train », the French adaptation of Hedy West’s 500 Miles, and Good Hearted Woman, the country classic written by legends Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson.
